The 2024 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a car of a thousand faces. In the base version, it offers comfortable, luxurious travel. However, for the new model year, it also offers plenty of power and technology, thanks to the AMG versions, whether you opt for the sport coupe or the sedan.
Don’t get the wrong idea, though. Every version of the 2024 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is exceptional, although some are unique in that they combine the performance of the AMG design with hybridization.
Power under the hood of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class
From the outset, the C300 avails of 255 horsepower, thanks to its 2.0 L four-cylinder engine. Paired with a mild hybrid system, it can offer a little boost, reaching up to 302 horsepower for short periods.
If that’s not enough for you, the AMG C43 can push the same engine up to 402 hp (415 with the power burst). However, the true power of the 2024 Mercedes-Benz C-Class comes alive with the AMG C63 S E Performance plug-in hybrid version. It’s capable of unleashing up to 671 hp with a range of 13 kilometers in all-electric mode, thanks to its 6.1 kWh lithium-ion battery.
Obviously, there’s no better way to control all that power than with the Mercedes-Benz nine-speed automatic transmission and 4MATIC AWD, both of which come standard on all versions.
Making way for technology in the 2024 C-Class
As in the automaker’s other vehicles, the passenger compartment of the 2024 Mercedes-Benz C-Class boasts an MBUX infotainment system, which presents various information on an 11.9-inch touchscreen. All it takes is a little flick of the finger to navigate the menus, which display not only information on comfort and entertainment but also information on the electrical components, as needed.
There are also touch-sensitive haptic buttons mounted on the steering wheel to offer even more control.
The seats feature leather upholstery, while metallic trim completes the décor, and a vast 12.3-inch customizable screen situated in front of the driver displays operational data on the 2024 Mercedes.
