2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE: Refined Luxury with Advanced Technology

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE is the latest version of the brand’s mid-size SUV, elevating luxury and comfort further from the already high levels of the previous generation. With refined styling, expanded technology, and electrified powertrains across the lineup, the GLE is set to conquer many new buyers. 

Sophisticated Design Updates 

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE boasts a more modern appearance thanks to several exterior enhancements. A redesigned front bumper adds visual presence, while the radiator grille now features two horizontal louvres with chrome inserts. The headlamps incorporate Mercedes-Benz's signature "light flare" design, with LED High-Performance headlamps as standard and optional MULTIBEAM LED headlamps available. The colour palette has been expanded to include Twilight Blue Metallic and MANUFAKTUR Alpine Grey, complemented by new alloy wheel designs in 19-, 20-, 21-, and 22-inch sizes. 

Enhanced Interior Luxury 

Inside, the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE's cabin receives updates inspired by the Mercedes-Maybach GLS and S-Class. A new steering wheel with touch-sensitive controls allows for easy operation of both the driver and central displays. Chrome finishes on the air vents add a touch of sophistication, while new interior colour options add a measure of style. The latest generation of the MBUX infotainment system brings improved functionality and responsiveness to the dual 12.3-inch displays. The "Hey Mercedes" voice assistant has been enhanced with online services integration, offering more interactive and learning capabilities. Advanced Off-Road and Towing Capabilities For adventure enthusiasts, the GLE 580 4MATIC offers an optional Off-Road Engineering Package, providing increased ground clearance and underbody protection. The MBUX system's Off-Road Mode displays essential information such as gradient, roll angle, and steering angle, while the "transparent hood" function aids in navigating obstacles. A new Trailer Manoeuvring Assist system makes towing easier and safer, with automatic steering control for reversing and positioning trailers up to 90-degree turns. 

Electrified Powertrains for Improved Efficiency 

The entire 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE range features electrified powertrains, including mild hybrids with 48-volt technology and Integrated Starter Generator. The highlight is the new GLE 450e 4MATIC plug-in hybrid, combining a 248-hp combustion engine with a 134-hp electric motor for a total system output of 381 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque. Other versions include the entry-level GLE 350 4Matic powered by a turbocharged 2,0L four-cylinder engine that delivers 255 horsepower, the mid-tier GLE 450 4Matic with a 3,0L turbocharged inline-six-cylinder engine that generates 375 horsepower, and the GLE 580 4Matic, with a 4,0L turbocharged V8 that makes 510 horsepower.

Premium Audio and Comfort Features 

The available Burmester surround sound system in the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE now includes personal sound setup and Dolby Atmos for an immersive audio experience. Additional comfort features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as over-the-air software updates to keep the vehicle's systems current.
